About Caretrace

Caretrace was developed by Simon Derrick in 2007 for Blue Skies Holdings Ltd. The idea was to create a tool that could tell the amazing story of the products supplied by Blue Skies for Waitrose.

Since then issues such as climate change, food miles and fair trade have risen up the agenda, so there is now more demand than ever before for information about the impact our buying decisions have on the planet. Caretrace provides a platform to present information related to the provenance of individual items for the benefit of shoppers, students and people just curious about where their products come from.
